JESSICA HUBBARD, AIA, NCARB
Jessica Hubbard, AIA, NCARB, is a Principal at GMSHAY and leads all new business development efforts as well as the firm’s Colorado office. Jessica received her Master of Architecture from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and began her career with GMSHAY in 2017, focusing primarily on hospitality and institutional design. Her earlyprojects included the master plan for River Street East, The Hilton Hotel, and theBenedictine Military School Athletic Facilities.Since relocating to Colorado, Jessica has become a licensed architect in the state and has led the production of numerous multifamily communities across Colorado for clients such as Reylenn Properties, Toll BrothersApartment Living, BMC Investments, Endeavor RealEstate Group, and Sares Regis Group. One of her most notable projects is Solana Beeler Park, a LEED Silver-certified development that she led from Design Development throughConstruction.Jessica is deeply committed to growing GMSHAY’s presence in Colorado, actively collaborating with municipalities, developers, and local business owners to strengthen community partnerships and advance thoughtful, sustainable design. Passionate about mentoring the next generation of designers, she has also taught as a part-time Revit instructor at Front Range Community College and remains active in AIA Colorado, Women in Design, and the Urban Land Institute.
Principal, Architect

Bates began his career with GMSHAY in 2016, working in the Savannah office until 2019 and continuing to support the team remotely from 2020 to 2021. Before returning in 2025 as GMSHAY Colorado’s first full-time team member, he gained valuable experience in diverse markets, including the greater Portland and Philadelphia areas. His portfolio spans a range of project types—from affordable housing to municipal facilities—bringing both breadth and depth of expertise to the GMSHAY team. Bates’s well-rounded background and collaborative approach strengthen the firm’s commitment to thoughtful, community-focused design.

Senior Design Associate
Ben is a graduate student pursuing his Master of Architecture at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where he also earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Architecture in 2024. Born and raised in Golden, Colorado, Ben has a lifelong love for the outdoors—spending his free time rafting, fly fishing, and capturing Colorado’s landscapes through film photography. His connection to nature inspires his passion for sustainable design and his commitment to creating spaces that both uplift communities and respect the environment.As part of GMSHAY’s Colorado team, Ben supports many of the firm’s Colorado projects and works from the Denver office when not in Savannah attending school.
